REFUND &
CANCELLATION.
A fair, project-based approach to cancellations and refunds for custom digital-development services.
Last updated: 20 August 2026
1. Scope
This policy applies to custom digital and professional services supplied by Sunglow Technology. Each project is scoped individually, and development or design resources may be reserved after a proposal is accepted or payment is received. Refund eligibility therefore depends on the applicable quotation or agreement, the project stage, work already performed and costs already committed.
Nothing in this policy limits a remedy that must be provided under applicable law. If a project agreement contains a specific cancellation or refund term, that term will govern the project to the extent it is consistent with applicable law.
2. Before work commences
A client may request cancellation before work begins. Where cancellation is permitted under the applicable quotation or agreement, refund eligibility will be assessed after accounting for payment-processing charges, reserved resources, planning already completed and non-refundable commitments made specifically for the project.
No deduction is automatic unless it reflects an agreed or genuinely committed cost. Sunglow Technology will explain the basis of any amount retained.
3. After work commences
Once work has started, amounts attributable to completed work, time already spent, resources committed and approved external expenses may be non-refundable. Any remaining amount that may be refunded will be assessed according to the project stage, measurable work completed, outstanding obligations and the applicable project agreement.
A change of preference, internal client delay or decision not to continue does not automatically make completed work refundable. Sunglow Technology will, however, consider the circumstances in good faith and provide a reasonable project-status account.
4. Milestone projects
Payments attached to completed or approved milestones are generally not refundable unless the project agreement says otherwise or applicable law requires a remedy. Work in an incomplete milestone will be assessed based on actual progress, committed resources and agreed acceptance criteria.
5. Third-party costs
External costs purchased or committed for a project are normally non-refundable where the provider will not return them. Depending on scope, these may include domain registration, hosting, premium plugins, software licences, APIs, stock assets, app-store fees and other approved external services. Where possible, the client will be told before such a commitment is made.
6. Cancellation by Sunglow Technology
If Sunglow Technology cannot provide an agreed service and no reasonable alternative can be agreed, the unearned portion of applicable fees will be assessed for refund according to completed work, committed costs, the project agreement and applicable law. Sunglow Technology may also suspend or terminate work for material non-payment, unlawful instructions, persistent lack of required cooperation or another material breach, subject to the applicable project terms.
7. How to request cancellation or a refund
Send the request in writing with the project name, invoice or quotation reference, the reason for the request and the outcome sought. Sunglow Technology will review the project record and respond with the decision and, where applicable, a calculation of the refundable amount.
For an approved refund, the initiation date and method will be communicated in writing. The date funds appear in the client's account may also depend on the bank or payment provider. No fixed processing period is promised by this website policy.
For a cancellation or refund request, please use the verified contact details above so the request can be identified and handled appropriately.
